My name is Martin Ran. I have always had a love for helping both homeowners and contractors in the world of insurance claims settlement. This has become a growing passion of mine. As I see property owners come to me distraught and I help them, it gives me a sense that I am doing my part in helping others. I have seen many people come to me in tears, and when I am done they are very grateful to me. This is the kind of relationship I build.
I started back in the home improvement industry in 2005, where I was a salesperson who sold windows, siding, and roofing. I quickly realized that insurance work and helping homeowners get paid for claims work was the space I needed to be in. After a time I started noticing that insurance practices were quickly changing. Insurance companies were more worried about their own bottom line than serving their customers, and their primary goal became underpaying a claim by inserting guidelines to their people. It became pretty contentious fast. I got tired of watching both policyholders and contractors alike suffer, so I decided to do something about it.
I decided to learn everything I could about the claims business. I learned the ins and outs of the tactics the carriers used to systematically underpay and deny legitimate claims. I studied the software Xactimate that they used to estimate so I could learn where they cut corners. I learned everything I could to help people. Although I am still learning today, as we all are, I feel I have come very far. I am very knowledgeable and willing to help others. I am here for that purpose.
When I received my public adjuster license I had one goal in mind: my job was to help the little person. Oh yes, we all love the David and Goliath story. This is a tale that I live daily. Although I do work on some commercial claims, most of my business is in the homeowner space and making sure I can help my contractor friends with their claims. This is my mission statement.
